Wooden Go Carts

There are so many types of go carts out there and one of the cheap and easy ways to get your children on the fun track is with a wooden go cart. These are either powered by gravity or they are self propelled which means they run off electric or gasoline. They can be manufactured very cheap and and easy. All that is needed is 2×4 wood and some wheels which you can buy at any hardware store. The wheels can be held on by a metal rod and some metal straps for security.

When it comes to your children you do not want them to get hurt and that’s why gravity powered wooden go carts are such a great choice for families with young children. These woody carts can be built with engines in them but normally they are setup with just steering wheel, wheels, wooden body and some brakes. Do You Need A Guard Dog?

When searching for a dog breed that works best to guard your person and property, you should look beyond the size of the dog. Any large to medium breed dog can become a viscous junkyard dog to tie to the tree in the backyard. Do you really want that kind of beast?

Also, you need to differentiate between guard dogs and watch dogs. Are you looking for a yelper to warn you of uninvited company and fire trucks or are you looking for a animal designed and bred to protect your property?

There are lots of large dogs that can be used to protect, but you need to get the dog that is best suited to you needs and its temperament. Some large dogs are better suited for large stretches of property, while others are best in cold weather.

Before spending lots of money on a new dog, please research the breeds and select the best one for you.

Worker Termites

Worker termites belong to the lowest level of the termite hierarchy.  Depending on the species of termites, termite workers will make up 85% to 95% of the population of a termite colony.  The workers make everything happen in the colony, so their numbers are quite large because of this primary role.

The worker termites primary role is to gather food for the colony.  This means they dig the tunnels out to the food, like your home, and they are the ones that cause the actual damage.  Once they have gathered food they return to the colony to feed the young, the king and queen and the soldier termites.  They work nonstop every day.  In a large termite colony there will be millions of workers and they are capable of destroying hundreds of pounds of wood every year.

You can recognize worker termites by several characteristics:

  • They have straight antennae.
  • Their mouths have small pincers.
  • Their bodies have a creamy white color that is border line translucent.
  • They look like rice grains, with legs.

Workers have the difficult tasks, like foraging for food and building tunnels, so they are usually the first to be spotted when tunnels are destroyed or wood that have been eaten is checked.

Designing Travel Blogs

I love blogs that are simple in design with great content! I recently read an eBook called “Save the Pixel.” In the eBook, you will learn about how to effectively design a website and why it is important. Many people have no idea how to design or code websites, so using WordPress themes that have been created by someone else makes life much easier. The problem with this is that people need to ask for help to change the theme if the one they are using doesn’t suit them completely.

Then you have people who know how to code, but don’t know how to be efficient. That’s why the book is great! It gives examples of travel blogs, among other sites, and breaks down the design flaws and then redesigns the site and shows you why it’s better. One thing talked about specifically is “white space.” This doesn’t mean there is literally white space in your website! It means that you have space in between things because if you don’t, the clutter takes away from your content!

The most important thing the eBook says is that you shouldn’t design your website, you should design the content that makes your website!

Math and Music

It is a well known fact that Math and Music go together. When we solve math problems, we’re actually composing music, and when we listen to music, we’re hearing math! I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true! When you read sheet music while playing the piano or guitar, you are looking at the “chord” you need to play to make the correct sound. What this really is is what mathematical equation you are answering. The correct answer corresponds to a beautiful sound!

Some people say that used guitars have a better quality sound because they’ve been used quite a bit, but I do not think it matters. What matters is the skill level of the user! New guitars can have just as good a sound, as long as the person playing it knows how! There are many books you can buy or download from the internet that can teach you proper technique. If you make time for it, playing guitar can be a beautiful thing.

In fact, studies have shown that playing an instrument improves a person’s creativity and reasoning skills. In addition, the earlier you begin playing an instrument, the better! It’s the same as learning a language!

My Beagle

Are you looking to buy a dog? If you are, then you should consider getting a Beagle. Why, you ask? Well, Beagles have a very specific breeding pattern, and over the years they have been bred for different things useful to a family. For one, they have an excellent sense of smell, so if something is burning they’ll be quick to alert you. They have been bred to be physically active and have a tight build, but not as tight as a pit-bull.

Because they are bred for warm areas, they have short hair to help prevent them from getting too hot during the summers. They are known to be good natured and are usually not aggressive. As a result of all these traits, they are easy to handle. Beagle training is very easy to do because they won’t fight you for the role of leader of the pack.

They are very fast learners and usually don’t carry an odor, like shaggy dogs! One downside is that they tend to have health problems, but that’s due to overall bad breeding practices conducted by people without proper knowledge. Beagles suffer from joint problems and skin disorders, but are still good dogs!

Special Effect Contacts for Halloween

It’s fun to work on and create the best Halloween costume in your neighborhood. People come up with some pretty elaborate costumes and it’s fun to try to figure out who they’re supposed to be.

The best costumes I can remember were ones where people did a good amount of planning that nicely complimented their creativity. A good way to do this is with special effect contact lenses. There are some pretty amazing contacts out there and since people typically look at your face and eyes, adding the special touch of some funky contacts will really up the “wow factor.”

Some special effect lenses you can get are ones like cat eyes, smiley face, zebra, alien, vampire red or even the white out or black out contacts. In my opinion, the white out contacts are a little freaky. Unfortunately, they make it so you can’t see very well so they’re more for photographic purposes.

Is Your Cat Suffering From Feline Eye Infection?

One of the problems that can affect our cat’s health is cat eye infections, also called feline eye infections.  They can be caused by different factors, such as the presence of bacteria, viruses, and even fungal infections.

A cat eye infection can be easily treatable in some cases, but in others they are just the symptoms of a serious underlying condition. The most common case of eye infections in cats is conjunctivitis. You can tell a cat is suffering from it because you’ll notice an inflamed pink membrane. This doesn’t necessarily have to be present in both eyes.

If you notice your cat is suffering from an infection in the eye, you should take him to the veterinarian immediately to determine the cause of such infection; this will ensure proper treatment in time.

Aluminum Roofing in Coastal Locales

I’ve lived close to the New Jersey coast for about a decade and I’ve seen roofs come and go with the seasons. Yet it’s only recently that I’ve heard about metal roofing systems. Metal roofs have great advantages close to the ocean, where the salt filled air cuts the life cycle of roofs much shorter than they would be otherwise. Of all metal roofing materials, aluminum is the best if you’re close to the beach, and I’ll tell you why. It’s because its corrosion resistance is second to none. I mean, it’d have to be – this is the same material they use for the space shuttle, after all. The friends of mine who’ve installed aluminum roofing have had no cause to regret it. In fact, they laugh at guys like me who have yet to change. But it’s finally my time. I’m installing an aluminum roof the first chance I get this season, and I recommend you do the same.

Warm to Hot Weather In Playa Del Carmen

As the place has a subtropical climate, Playa Del Carmen weather usually ranges from warm to hot all year round. The humidity also tends to be high. The water is always warm enough for a relaxing dip or swim. Other people would consider visiting during the coolest time of the year especially those who cannot handle hot weather. Can Caffeine Boost Hair Growth?

Scientific research has shown that hair growth may be boosted by the caffeine found in coffee, or at the very least, caffeine can prevent hair loss. Adding caffeine as an ingredient to shampoos could help fight the onset of male pattern baldness and hair loss. Caffeine helps to regulate the level of testosterone in a person, and testosterone is known to be one of the primary causes of baldness and hair loss. Hair follicles can be destroyed by the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), and destroyed hair follicles lead to hair loss and/or pattern baldness. One of the key findings occurred when treating hair follicles with caffeine.  Once treated, strength returned to hair follicles and hair growth rates can increase up to 77%.  But don’t go drinking 10 cups of coffee a day just yet.  These results have only been tested on inidividual hair follicles in the lab and human trials have not occurred yet.
