Agony is used to describe a painful physical or emotional condition, and Angular Cheilitis with its miserable characteristic crusted-over mouth corner cracks can be devastatingly destructive to anyone who has been unlucky enough to have the skin disorder over an extended period of time.
In the beginning stages, angular cheilitis looks and feels like badly chapped lip corners, but when normal treatments for chapped lips fail to ease or eliminate the condition, it soon becomes evident that something of a more serious nature is involved.
