Can You Just Taste That Red Wedding Cake!?

Sometimes, when you just close your eyes and and do nothing but imagine a soft, creamy, gooey red wedding cake, you can almost taste it. Red cakes come in a variety of flavors, but I’m always imagining strawberry flavored jam between lemon poppy seed cake, topped with strawberry butter cream frosting. I, however, may not have good taste. Just because I imagine something to be true, doesn’t mean it is. That is why going to taste your cake is so important.

Another reason it’s important to taste the cake beforehand is texture and visual appeal. I know a lot of popular cakes today are using a fondant frosting, but, personally, that isn’t my flavor. I’d rather have a little less aesthetic value and go with butter cream. That’s a personal choice and I encourage all brides to find out what their tastes are, if they don’t have a good idea already.

So imagine all you want, but be sure to try the real thing!
