Melbourne is the sports capital of Australia with over half a dozen international sports venues. Melbourne hosts the Australian Grand Prix, Australian Open and our own AFL Grand Final. I suppose you may have also heard of ‘the race that stops a nation?’. The Melbourne Cup is a public holiday on which you will be hard pressed not to find an Australian tuning into a television to watch the big race.
Sport is not all Melbourne has to offer though. With an amazing city filled with shopping and fashion, big green parks scattered all around the CBD and a huge multicultural community, Melbourne should definitely be on your wish list.
