The key to a great diet for natural bodybuilding is to pick the right foods in the right amounts or percentages that optimize the recovery process and fuel your body while allowing you to burn fat. The general guideline is usually 40 percent proteins, 30 percent carbohydrates and 30 percent fats.

While each person is different, these general guidelines tend to work the best. Just remember that portion control, the amount of calories that you eat and how often you eat need to be closely monitored.
