A better way to lose weight is to slowly lower your calorie intake so your body doesn’t panic and slow right down. Another way to combat this is to eat more often throughout the day but eat smaller portions. This way your body is receiving food very regularly (every 2-3 hours) and will not feel the need to store any of the calories in case food stops coming.

Crash diets do not work for fast weight loss, unless you want to lose a few pounds in a very short time and are OK with gaining it all back.

When it comes to losing weight there are a number of different things that you can try. But really, it comes down to one factor, consuming less calories than you burn. Which ever way you decide to do that is up to you but here are some good suggestions.

1. Drink lots of water. Water could possibly be the single most important thing in losing weight and keeping it off. Water will act as an appetite suppressant by keeping your stomach full and by making sure you don’t get dehydrated, which can lead to false cravings. Drinking water ice cold is the best way because the body has to work harder to cool it down to your body’s temperature.

2. Eat regularly. Try to eat 5-6 mini meals a day and the most important meal being breakfast. It is important to never let yourself get hungry and learn portion control. Don’t go overboard on the amount of calories you consume at each sitting.

3. Eat lots of fiber. Eating fiber rich foods helps to keep moving through your bowels and much like water, it bulks you up, helping you feel fuller for longer. Have You Watched More To Love on Fox?

I was surfing the TV the other night when I came upon this show called “More To Love” on Fox. It looks like a reality dating show for overweight people! So I stopped and watched it a while. It was kinda sickening to watch. It sure looked like the overweight women were being taken advantage of. The show also portrayed them as being desperate, lonely and crying a lot. Another thing that I found disgusting is that it put up their height and weight on the screen. Why would they do this? You don’t see the measurements of the contestants on The Bachelor do you? This show looks like another show to take advantage of those who are overweight. I guess there’s money in that!

In order to effectively lose weight you need to eliminate the factors that are causing you to gain weight in the first place. This means that if you currently eat a diet that consists of many fatty foods and junk foods, then you are right away causing yourself to gain weight instead of losing it. Many people try to lose weight but they fail to see that a lot of their actions is what causes them to gain a lot of weight in the first place.
