Traveling in Asia

Traveling in Asia is such a broad topic that it seems few Americans know what they are getting themselves into when they start looking at vacationing in the world’s largest continent. Even deciding where to travel to can be a huge undertaking. Do you want ritzy? Do you want cheap? Are you looking for culture? History? Nightlife? From the poorest villages of South Asia to the ridiculously over-priced and unsleeping mega cities of Japan there is something for every type of traveler, which only serves to further highlight how important it is to narrow down your searches before even considering where to start looking for your next Asian vacation. If you like to consider yourself a budget traveler then there are several Asian countries where, even in today’s economic climate, the dollar will still bring you so much more value that it will in the US that it can be tempting to extend your stay through retirement and live off of street meat for the rest of your life. But as with any vacation planning, the key lies in knowing what you’re looking for.
