Wooden wardrobe closets are one of my favorite pieces of furniture. This is saying quite a bit, since truth be told, I have strict (and possibly elitist!) opinions about such things as what makes a piece of furniture qualify as “good”.
Solid as a buck, and just about as heavy too, these stand alone closets – sometimes referred to by their traditional name of “armoire”, wardrobe closets are making a come back in the homes of people all over. This is quite a feat because these are not some cheap pieces of plywood thrown together in a chinese factory and sold at discount in big box stores. Far from it. Decent wooden wardrobe closets cost many thousands of dollars, so while this may be a trend, it’s a super expensive trend!
